Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive at Aizawl

Arrive at Aizawl by flight. It’s the scenic capital of Mizoram and is a religious and cultural center of the Mizos. The town is blessed with exotic natural beauty and is famous for its handicrafts. (It is an ideal hill station for tourists looking for solitude and clean air). On arrival, transfer to Hotel. Overnight in Aizawl.

Day 2 : Sightseeing of Aizawl Town

Sightseeing of Aizawl town which will include the visit to the State Museum (This museum is situated at Mc Donald Hill in the town center. Open Monday – Friday from 9:00 A.M to 5 PM. Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. Though small, it has an interesting collection of historical relics, ancient costumes, and traditional implements, Bara Bazar(This is the main shopping center with stalls selling garments and other commodities), Big Drum of Aizawl, and Model Village at Falkawn. Overnight Aizawl.

Day 3 : Leave for Silchar

We leave for Silchar, which is a transit point for entering Agartala. Overnight in Silchar.

Day 4 : Arrival at Agartala

Start early in the morning. On arrival, check-in at Hotel and Overnight in Agartala.

Day 5 : Local Sightseeing of Agartala

The major interest of the town is the Ujjayanta Palace, which was built in the Indo-Saracenic style in 1901 by Maharaja Radha Kishore Manikya. Sepahijala wildlife sanctuary, Kamala Sagar. Situated about 55 km from Agartala is Neermahal, Tripura’s major tourist attraction. It is a summer resort built in the middle of a lake named Rudrasagar, with a total area of about 5.35 sq. km. It is the only lake palace in Eastern India and has been built in a mixture of Hindu and Mughal styles.

Day 6 : Leave for Imphal by Flight

Dropping at Agartala airport. Leave for Imphal by flight. On arrival, check-in at Hotel. After lunch, visit Kangla fort and Ima Market. Overnight Imphal.

Day 7 : Full Day Imphal Sightseeing

Full-day sightseeing – Govindajee Temple, Loktak lake(largest freshwater lake in the northeast), INA Memorial(Indian tricolor was first hoisted here by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army), Japanese War Memorial, Sadu Chiru waterfalls. Overnight Imphal.

Day 8 : Drive to Kohima

En route visit Heritage village- a model village for all the major tribes of Nagaland. On arrival check-in at Hotel. After lunch, visit II world war cemetery. Overnight in Kohima.

Day 9 : Drive to Kaziranga National Park

Drive to Kaziranga National Park, the abode of one-horned rhinoceros. Reaching there, we check in at Hotel /Resort. Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 10 : Kaziranga Elephant and Jeep Safari

We shall start early in the morning for an elephant safari for 1 hour inside the park which is a world heritage site. After the elephant safari, breakfast at the lodge. Then we will go for a jeep safari in the western range of the park. In the afternoon, visit the orchid park, and in the evening, enjoy Raag sandhya – a musical program showcasing the rich culture of Assam. Overnight in Kaziranga.

Day 11 : Morning Drive to Dirang

Morning drive to Dirang. En route, visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 1000 Orchids. Overnight in Dirang.

Day 12 : Drive to Tawang

Drive passing through typical Monpa village at Dirang. After viewing the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river and inhabited by colorful tribals, proceed towards the Sela Pass (13703 ft) and spend some lovely times by the paradise lake Overnight in Tawang.

Day 13 : Full Day Explore Tawang Monastery

Full day explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso during the 17th century A.D. a contemporary of the fifth Dalai Lama. Drive up to PT Shu Lake, then return to visit Tawang War Memorial. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 14 : Downhill Drive to Bomdila

Early morning, drive to Jang to get a breathtaking view of the waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jaswant Garh Indo-Chinese War Memorial and downhill drive to Bomdila. Overnight in Bomdila.

Day 15 : Travel to Nameri National Park

Travel to Nameri National Park and stay overnight at eco Camps.

Day 16 : Drive to Shillong

Drive to Shillong enroute enjoy boating in the beautiful Umiam Lake. Enjoy the evening at Police Bazar, Shillong. Stay overnight at shillong.

Day 17 : Travel to Cherrapunjee

Travel to Cherrapunjee enroute visit Shillong Peak and then proceed to Elephant Falls before finally leaving for Cherrapunjee-the wettest place on earth where we will be exploring the Mawsmai Caves, the Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls, Arwah Caves and Ram Krishna Mission. Stay overnight at Cherrapunjee.

Day 18 : Leave for Guwahati

Leave for Guwahati after breakfast. Afternoon visit to Navagraha Temple, State Museum and aftertnoon visit Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra. Overnight in Guwahati.

Day 19 : Guwahati - Departure

Airport/Railway Transfers will be arranged as per the flight schedule of the group.
