Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival at Leh

On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 : Leh Local Sightseeing (Shey, Thiksey, Hemis and Stok)

After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. Thiksey: The twelve storied monastery of Thiksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis: Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect – it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhi’s from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Meals and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 : Leh - Nubra Valley

After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardung-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Diskit for overnight stay in a camp.

Day 4 : Nubra Valley to Leh

In the morning visit / explore Diskit, Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh, reaching in the afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 : Leh - Pangong Lake - Leh

Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight in hotel. Overnight in hotel.

Day 6 : City tour of Leh

Morning is at leisure. Afternoon visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Evening Explore local market. Overnight in hotel.

Day 7 : Departure Leh

Transfer in time to the airport to connect onwards destination flight.
